1. Skipwith Weekly Health Report – As you know, Henrico County Public Schools and Skipwith Elementary are doing everything reasonably possible to keep you informed about health concerns that are connected to our school. Over the past week, Saturday, November 7 to Friday, November 12, Skipwith Elementary has recorded 0 positive COVID-19 cases and  0 associated exposure (close contacts). All close contacts have been previously notified by the building administration.

2. MASK REQUIREMENTS: Please note the HCPS and Skipwith MASK requirements which state, All students must wear a mask to school each day, on the bus, and at school. It would be a good idea to have an extra one in your child’s book bag. If  your child comes to school without a mask, you may receive the following reminder note:
Your child did not come to school today with a face mask on. Please make sure your child comes prepared to school with a face mask     (masks with ventilators, gaiters, and bandanas are not permitted.) As a reminder, the Public Health Order issued on August 12, 2021, requires all persons to wear masks when indoors at K-12 schools.

3. REPORTING COVID CASES: To help ensure the health of everyone in our school building, we are asking that if your student tests positive for COVID-19 or is in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case that you call the school. This information will allow contact tracing to occur as soon as possible. If the health department calls, please allow disclosure, as this permits communication with your student’s school, and give them as much information as you can, including your student’s name and school attended. In collaboration with the health department, all cases reported will be investigated and close contacts notified. Confidentiality is maintained for individual students and staff.
