SKIPWITH NEWS – Posted 3/30/2020

Good afternoon families,  I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and safe!

1. Our staff will continue to focusing on staying connected with you and your family as much as possible during this school closure. While we would love to see you
in person and hug our students, the Skipwith staff remains committed to helping support the county/state goal of social distancing for everyone’s health.
Therefore, at this time the Skipwith staff will only be reaching out to our students and families virtually. I know a few schools have held school parades through
neighborhoods which is really cool. However, due to the many main roads, apartment complexes, and focus on social distancing we believe it is in the best
interest of the entire Skipwith communities to not hold such an event. We may do something in the future as the social distancing and spread of the virous
subsides. So how will we continue to connect with you? I will continue to make my weekly phone calls on Sundays, Mrs. Mills will send a Wednesday phone
message with updates and a birthday list. The teachers have been and will continue to reach out to their classes to complete zoom meetings, emails, calls, or
send post card and letters. We have teamed up with the PTA to complete virtual spirit weeks and live face book readings. Together we will continue to support
each other.
